Mary’s Journey

Mary Scantline profile pictureMary Scantlin is excited to minister to God’s people, knowing experientially how amazing it is to be in the big middle of it when God’s love begins reaching out in VERY unique ways!  Seasoned with 45 years of teaching ministry, “Abiding in the Vine” enables Mary to hear Him and see incredible gifts of intervention from Almighty God – the ONE who became a friend, bringing power to transform wandering comfortless sheep into The People of God.

Being healed of Fibromyalgia in 2004 after a 10 year battle, Mary knows what it’s like to suffer and also to be completely healed. She must tell it, teach it, encourage and pray for the sick.

Mary spearheaded various ministries including women’s and children’s ministries, an outreach into an apartment complex. Conducted Bible studies in homes,  church and for women newly released from prison, youth rallies, and a high school club. 1986 to ’92, she founded and directed a two-year Bible school for Grace Assembly in Houston, teaching  basic and advanced courses, also administering a correspondence course.

Mary received a call to ministry coupled with circumstances screaming “Impossible!”  But  personal study revealed an incredible parade of God’s women with amazing ministries that strangely were historically bypassed in widespread church  teaching.  She’s equipped herself to teach the Biblical and historical truths of God’s women so that women and men today won’t be stifled, but confident to serve God wholeheartedly.

Ordained in 2005, Mary continues to minister in both private and public settings as God leads.  She and husband Frank live in Sugar Land, Texas and have three children and five grandchildren.

Mary’s entries from her personal journal found here, will in God’s time, be published in book form.
